Osun Diaspora Group Urges Support for Tinubu, Oyebamiji, and Durojaye Ahead of Elections

As Osun State prepares for its upcoming election season, a diaspora-based group, Osogbo Federal Constituency Diaspora Intellectuals (Atlanta, USA), has called on voters to make informed decisions at the polls and support candidates they describe as capable of driving development at both national and state levels.

In a statement released ahead of the elections, the group expressed support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging Nigerians to consider his Renewed Hope Agenda and back his bid for a second term in office. According to the group, continuity in leadership would help consolidate ongoing reforms and sustain national development efforts.

The group also threw its weight behind Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, describing him as “tested and trusted.” They noted that his experience and track record in public service position him as a strong contender in the Osun State gubernatorial race scheduled for August 15. They expressed confidence that his leadership would bring about improved governance and progress across the state.

At the federal level, the Diaspora Intellectuals endorsed Prince Durojaye Afees (PDA) as their preferred candidate to represent Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. They highlighted his educational background, people-oriented approach, and leadership qualities as key attributes that make him suitable for effective representation in Abuja.

The group concluded by encouraging voters in Osun State, particularly in Osogbo Federal Constituency, to prioritize competence, integrity, and commitment to public service when casting their votes.

The Osun State elections are expected to draw significant attention as political stakeholders intensify campaigns across the state.
