The growing influence of the Ajisope Development Initiative, founded by Alhaji Abdulkabir Adeoye Ajisope in support of the administration and leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has continued to reshape the political landscape in Osun State. In a notable development today, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, a former stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Orolu Local Government, Hon. Olaifa, led a delegation that included Muritala Agunla a political juggernaut from Orolu local government and some of his followers and several other prominent leaders and supporters to the Ajisope Development Initiative headquarters.
Agunla who said he had vowed never to return to politics said he was convinced by the news of Ajisope's profound positive engagements. The group formally pledged their loyalty and support to the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing the leadership vision and grassroots impact of the Ajisope Development Initiative as a key motivating factor.
Speaking during the event, Alhaji Ajisope welcomed the new members and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening grassroots mobilization, promoting good governance, and supporting the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Political observers have described the wave of defections as unprecedented, noting that the Ajisope Development Initiative has emerged as a formidable force capable of redefining political alignment in Osun State.
