Contrary to the earlier scheduled date of August 8th 2026 for the gubernatorial election in Osun State, INEC has readjusted its time table and added another week to the earlier date. The gubernatorial election for Osun State will now hold on August 15th.
Consequent upon this, political parties have started strategizing on how to win the election. As of now, the big three jostling for the office of the governor are the incumbent governor enator Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji of APC and Iwaloye Nojim Salam od the ADC. It is ecpected that full campaign would take off any moment from now.
